• 2Every mesh flips the spin. Each latch shows what it needs — ↻ ×2 means clockwise at twice the driver's speed.
• 3You don't have to fill every socket. Choose the route — the tray holds exactly the gears you need.
• 4Two meshed gears forced the same way jam the machine — you lose a spark ♥.
• 5Tap a gear you placed to take it back — free, any time. Or press UNDO.
• 6Open every latch → the vault opens and its part joins your clock.

Parts you'll meet

• ➰Belt — carries the spin the same way, with no flip.
• 🔗Locked shaft — two gears turn as one, so the route sets the speed.
• ⚠Fragile gear — cracks (−♥) if driven past the speed on its badge.
• ✖Rusted gear — dead. Send power into it and the machine breaks.
